The SMS Max Drill 1000m is a high-performance borehole drilling Rotary head gearbox with a capacity  to handle a  pull-up force of 45,000 kg, capable of drilling holes with a diameter ranging from 6.5 inches to 24 inches and depths of up to 1,350 meters. It is built for applications such as dewatering holes, monitoring holes in mines, and cathodic protection. The Top drive can be used on both DTH and rotary drilling methods and is powered by a 2x Hydraulic motors with impeccable torque handling capacity of 10,000 to 15,000 Nm. With a robust and heavy design the housing is made of tough WCB steel casting housing can withstand heavy vibration and load, it ensures efficient operations. The top drives weighs around 300-400 kg's. It is adaptable for all water well rig models.
